Gratitude is most important in any relationship. That goes doubly so for a marriage. Thanksgiving is a great time to express gratitude for your sweetheart. Back in 2004 I wrote the 25 Days of Thanksgiving. The idea is to write the things you are thankful for and then share them with each other on Thanksgiving day.

Another way to express gratitude is Sweetie Appreciation Week. Declare a week to show how much you appreciate your sweetie and do something special everyday. the article will give some ideas.

There's a book along these lines called "Thanks! How the New Science of Gratitude Can Make You Happier" by Dr. Robert Emmons. He researched gratitude scientifically for 8 years and the book touches on all the benefits of gratitude. There is mention of relationships, and emotional health benefits. "Thanks!" can be found on Amazon or at any major bookstore. Check it out!
